Welcome to Plains View Surgery

This GP practice dates back to 1953. For many years it was run by Dr J Maclean at 65 Plains Road. Dr C Pillai joined the practice and worked with Dr Maclean. When Dr Maclean retired, Dr Pillai conceived, created and established Plains View Surgery in 1989 at its present location here at 57 Plains Road . Dr U Ahmad joined as GP Partner in 2014.

The practice has a long history of close ties with people in Mapperley. Over the years we have steadily expanded our team in order to continue to provide friendly and up to date care for the people in our area

Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues. The technology also means you can now do a lot of things from the comfort of your home such as order a repeat prescription or cancel an appointment.

This partnership philosophy extends even further and our active patient group exists to make sure that patient needs and the practice offering are always heading in the same direction.

Access
There is access for wheelchairs, a designated car parking space for a disabled person and toilet facilities for the disabled. Some of our appointments are held upstairs and we will arrange for you to be seen on the ground floor if you cannot climb the stairs.

We aim to meet the NHS Accessibility Standards. We can provide if notified in advance interpreting services for a wide variety of other languages and for British Sign Language. Large print communications can be provided if required. Please let us know if there are any requirements you need to help you access our services.
